It will probably come as no surprise that there was a
recent article on the Windsorite that talks about the importance of “birding”
on Windsor – Essex’s tourism industry. Though many of you will probably know why that is so more than myself –
something about migratory patterns – it is undeniable that it is important in
our Southwestern Ontario culture. Luckily, our fine feathered, beaked, flying
friends of ours do not hang out at the Pelee area birding hotspots exclusively,
but pay us visits in the heart of Downtown, along the river, in our fields, our
parks, and – how very VIP of us – in our backyards. So if you can catch one
parked on a branch, or if you’re fast enough to snap a shot while they’re in
transit, feel free to submit a shot of birds this week.
